What It Is
A gasketed plate heat exchanger moves heat from one liquid to another through thin pressed plates. The gaskets seal each channel and guide the two liquids into alternate channels, so they never mix. The plate pack is held in a frame and can be opened when needed.
Why Gasketed
Because the unit can be opened, the plates can be inspected and cleaned on site, gaskets can be renewed and plates can be added when the duty grows. For most water, glycol and oil circuits it is the most flexible and economical way to separate two circuits.
How We Select It
Every unit is selected by the TECS engineering team with our own thermal software for the fluids, the duty and the site. Plates, gaskets, pack and frame are chosen together, and the offer comes with a clear data sheet.
Where It Is Used
Engine and power plant cooling, data centers, HVAC and chilled water, heat recovery and CHP, marine and offshore systems and industrial process cooling. It often works together with an air-cooled radiator or dry cooler from TECS.
